26 Jan 2011 2014 shooting centre gets go ahead By Tom Walker
A £4.5m project to upgrade the Morton Farm shooting centre in West Lothian to enable it to host events during the 2014 Commonwealth Games has been given the green light by the Scottish Government.
The project is lead jointly by sportscotland and the Scottish Target Shooting Federation (STSF) and has already secured the backing of Lothian and Borders Police.
The project would lead to a major expansion of the existing clay pigeon shooting site at Morton Farm and would, according to STSF, create a "long-lasting legacy" fof the 2014 Games.
